I am an integrative counsellor, which means rather than just work from one approach, I draw from my training in different therapeutic approaches to suit each client.
My theory base focuses on Systemic Theory, which looks at the dynamics of relationships as created within a system and Psychodynamic Theory which recognises the importance of past experiences and the unconscious as shaping your present thoughts and behaviours.
I also incorporate Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Person Centred and CBT techniques in my practice.
